Refrigerating, compression machines for.-The refrigerant vapour from the evaporator 3 is drawn through the pipe 6 to the compressor 1 and discharged, together with lubricant which has leaked past the compressor piston, into the still 7 from which the refrigerant vapour flows through the pipe 10 to the condenser 2, and the liquid passes through the pipe 9 to the crank-case 5. The vessel 7 may either be insulated or heated to prevent loss of heat and ensure the separation of the refrigerant from the lubricant. Specification 265,562 is referred to.
