Lantern fronts.-A front glass for a vehicle lamp comprises horizontal upright flat colourless glass prisms 1 adapted to deflect downwardly a white beam 4, and horizontal inverted preferably orange coloured flat glass prisms 2 adapted to deflect upwardly a coloured beam 6. The prisms 2 may be made of coloured glass and cemented to the colourless glass, plate, or one or both of their faces may be coloured either by coating with pigment or silver salts or by the vitrifying process.
