Abstract
256,014. Stehmann, H. June 23. 1925. Rotary kilns.-In a revolving tubular kiln for burning cement, magnesite, lime. &c. discharge is effected with substantially complete exclusion of air, the exact amount of air necessary for complete combustion is admitted at e above the discharging device, and the kiln is operated substantially without heat regeneration. The discharge device shown comprises a pair of hoppers c with valves, but other means may be employed, such as a labyrinth discharge duct delivering on to a rotating plate close to its orifice. Specification 188,424 is referred to.
