Abstract

252,638. Thomson, W. J. Dec. 23, 1925. Spring surfaces for seats. - A flexible and resilient bolster G extends along the front of the seat and a bar or bolster E along the back, and between these is stretched the seating material consisting of rubber or other elastic material in strips D or a sheet with slits or perforations therein. The supporting leg members B incline inward near the base to give a springy action and each is made in a single piece and tapers toward the top. The front bar G may consist of soft rubber, an air tube, or sponge rubber with an outer case. The bar E may be similarly formed and rotated to tension the seating material.
