Abstract

209,160. Lamplugh, H. A. Oct. 3, 1922. Spring surfaces.-A spring surface, applicable to seat bottoms, backs, arms &c. comprises bowed resilient strips 3 having their ends secured to frame members 1 which can be moved towards or away from one another to vary the tension and resilience of the strips. The means for adjusting the frame members may consist of two bridge pieces 20 and a turnbuckle 25. The individual strips 3 may be covered with any suitable material and the whole structure may be enclosed in upholstered cloth, leather &c. Specification 205,151 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
