Abstract

228,677. Crossley, Sir K. I., and Webb, W. Le P. Dec. 13, 1923. Regulating.-The lift of the main admission valve a and of the extia-air valve k is varied by governor control, for example by variation of the fulcrum h of the valve lever g. The valve k may be loose on the spindle of the main valve, and be actuated by a nut l and spring m, and the adjustment of the nut may be such that a slight opening of the main valve is permitted whilst the valve k remains closed.
