Value gear.-In valve gear comprising a rocker d actuated by a grooved or other positive cam n, the rocker works in a slot f in the valve stem and is fitted with a blade spring r or other resilient means to ensure complete closure of the valve. An adjustable screw h may be provided to form an abutmer.t for the spring r. In a modification, the end of the rocker is split so as to have a springy action.
