Abstract

222,735. Headley, F. H. Jan. 12, 1924. Pedestal stands.-A pedestal support for chairs &c. comprises three or more legs, preferably tubular, with upright parallel portions 1 - - 4 and outwardly-splayed feet portions 5 - - 8, one or more bracing members 9, 10 to which the legs are secured by set-screws 12, and the supporting-pillar 16, Figs. 1, 14, Fig. 3. The pillar is adjustable through the members 9, 10 and may be secured by means of a detachable pin 17, Fig. 1, or as shown in Fig. 3, the lower end of the pillar may be threaded to engage a nut 15 on one of the bracing-members. Caps 20, secured over the ends of the legs by screws 18, are fitted with castors &c. 19.
