Abstract

222,709. Lee, H. W., and Kapella, Ltd. Nov. 27, 1923. Lenses. - Telephoto lenses corrected for spherical and chromatic aberration, coma, astigmatism, curvature of field and distortion comprise two separated systems, each separately achromatized, the collective system being constructed of two collective components and the dispersive system of a dispersive and a collective component. The components of the collective system are of meniscus form, one or both being cemented doublets. The components of the dispersed system are separated by an air space, the facing surfaces having a collective effect and the collective component on the opposite side of the dispersive component to that of the collective system. Numerical data are given in the Specification, and Specification 198,958 is referred to.
