Abstract

217,318. Beckett, E. H., and Ledward & Beckett, Ltd. March 14, 1923. Blast apparatus. - A steam jet blower provided with means for indicating variations in the temperature and the degree of saturation of the mixture of steam and air passing to a furnace comprises a housing 1, Fig. 1, having a steam inlet pipe 2 entering a header 3 supplying steam to a series of multiple cone injectors, air being induced through ports 6 controlled by a rotary ported sleeve 8. A thermometer 14 is arranged near the base of the housing 1, and means are provided for adjusting independently the supply of air or steam in accordance with the variations of temperature indicated.
