Mattresses.-In a spring mattress of the type comprising longitudinal and transverse foundation wires B, B<1>, supporting at their points of intersection the lower ends of coiled springs D, the upper coil of each spring is connected with adjacent surrounding upper coils by longitudinal, transverse and diagonal wire ties E, E<1>. The outer springs may be secured to the frame A by means of tension springs F, or the sides of the frame may be constructed of spring cables G.
