Abstract
203,936. Gale, F. G. Oct. 24, 1922. Mattresses.-In a spring mattress of the kind comprising vertical coil springs 1 and tie-wires 2, 3, the wires are arranged diagonally in both directions, one set 2 being tangential to the end coils 4 of the springs 1, the other set 3 crossing the end coils diametrically, while all the tie-wires are welded to each other and to the end coils at the points where they touch or cross. A peripheral binding-wire 5 may be provided, welded to the springs and to the tie-wires.
