189,486. Marshall, J. E. L. July 27, 1921. Grant of Patent refused. Spring surfaces for mattresses &c. The coils A of each row of springs B overlap each other without interlacing, and are fabric covered to prevent metallic contact between. the coils when depressed. The upper and lower ends of the springs are connected by open wire coils C, and the coils of each row may also overlap those of adjacent rows in order to increase the number of springs employed.
