Abstract
534,759. Mattresses. CROWN BEDDING CO., Ltd., and WALLIS, L. S. Nov. 13, 1939, No. 29908. [Class 52 (iv)] In a spring assembly for mattresses and upholstery formed by parallel rows of upholstery springs, the end coils of adjacent springs are connected by wires c extending lengthwise of the rows of springs and having at intervals parallel opposed loops d, e between which the end coils of the springs are fitted, the coils being locked by a further wire or cord g lying at right angles to the looped wire and passing through the loops below the spring coils. The springs may be enclosed in fabric pockets, the locking wire g passing through the fabric.
