Abstract

154,480. Clayden, A. Jan. 22,1920. Lifting-dogs for hoisting sacks, bales, &c. having a flexible part which can be gripped have a pair of pivoted links a normally held in the open position by springs j, one link carrying a jaw e adapted to intermesh with jaws b on the other link to grip the load. The jaws have rounded, serrated, &c. ends engaging in recesses in the links. A handle k is used for closing the jaws on to the load. Specification 135,880 is referred to.
