Abstract
147,620. Geist, J. Jan. 10, 1914, [Convention date]. Lifting-dogs and the like.-The jaws a, b of the tongs are connected directly and by a link h, respectively, to pivots f, g on a holder c which may be fitted to a handle d and terminates in a spike e or barbed or other hook. Alternatively, the holder c may have an eye for attachment to a chain or rope. The tongs may be opened by a spring. In a modification, the pivot of the jaw a is not on the holder, but is at the junction of two links which are themselves pivotally mounted on the holder.
