Abstract
151,516. Heess, J., and Marx, R. J. Dec. 15, 1919. Suction apparatus; Fourdrinier paper-machines. -Two or more suction boxes A, B, C are so arranged that the underside of the wire or felt is not exposed to the air on its passage from one suction box to another. The use of a smaller vacuum is thus made possible. One or more packing-strips may be used between the suction boxes which may be mounted on frames N and adjusted independently by spindles O. The suction boxes may be interlocking as by a tongue and groove I. A dandy roll may be inserted between two or more suction boxes.
