Abstract

1460648 Burners JOHN ZINK CO 4 Nov 1974 47514/74 Heading F4T A burner for producing a long, narrow, highvelocity flame comprises a fuel pipe 12 with a primary discharge orifice 25 at one end, a plurality of divergent secondary orifices 21 surrounding the primary orifice and a plurality of tertiary orifices 23 directed perpendicularly to the axis of the pipe upstream of the secondary orifices and a baffle member 14 with openings 18 for air disposed exteriorly of the pipe adjacent the tertiary orifices. The orifice 25 may be replaced by a plurality of orifices all pointing in the same direction. The primary orifice in one embodiment is provided at an angle to the axis of the pipe.
