Abstract
1275599 Radiant tube burners THERMO ELECTRON CORP 24 Sept 1969 [14 Feb 1969] 47010/69 Heading F4T In a radiant tube burner comprising a burner head 28 fed with gaseous fuel through a pipe 20 and mounted in a sleeve 26 attached to a radiant tube 30 fed with air through a pipe 12, exit openings 40 in the burner head 28 open into helical passages defined by vanes 32 on the head so that the combustion products pass helically down the radiant tube 30. The gas-air mixture is ignited by an electrode 18. A peepsight 22 is mounted within the gas-pipe 20 and terminates at the downstream end of the burner head 28.
