Abstract

1441125 Roller conveyers ALVEY Inc 31 May 1973 [31 May 1972] 26118/73 Heading B8A A device for transferring objects from one roller conveyer to another roller conveyer comprises a frame 1 having elongate members 23 which, due to the pivotal mounting 5, 6 of the frame, may be raised and lowered between a group of rollers 3 at the junction of the two conveyers. Each member 23 has a plastics covering 24 or a number of rollers 25 mounted along its top edge and the members are detachably secured by spring means 26 in bars 4 of the frame 1. The frame is actuated by a pistoncylinder unit 14, 15. With the frame in its raised position, crates, cartons, &c. slide or roll on to the transfer device after which, when the frame is lowered, the crates &c are discharged as indicated. Some or all of the conveyer rollers are driven but all the rollers 3 of the transfer device are driven.
