Abstract

1,233,478. Endless conveyers. BARRY-WEHMILLER CO. 19 Aug., 1969, No. 41425/69. Heading B8A. Containers C conveyed in random fashion on an endless conveyer 10 are transferred laterally, by guides 11, 12, on to a pair of side by side endless conveyers driven at different speeds whereupon the containers are divided into single lanes on each conveyer by a combination of outwardly tilting the conveyers 22, 23, a central rail 32 projecting upwardly between the conveyers to engage the underside of the containers and an adjustable plough 36. The aligned containers are subsequently transferred laterally to further endless conveyers 47, 48.
