Abstract

127,163. Drinkwater, A., and Howard & Bullough. Aug. 16, 1918. Tkread - guides.- The thread-guides of spinning and twisting machines are raised simultaneously for doffing purposes by means of fingers E, which are adjustablv mounted on a longitudinally movable bar C and engage inclines F on a bar B to which the lappets are hinged. The bar C extends the full length of the frame and is manually operated by lever, cam, or eccentric mechanism. A stop on the bar B is adapted to engage with the roller beam to determine the normal working position of the lappets when the bar C is moved in the reverse position after doffing. The fingers E may be fixed and the inclines F adjustable, or the fingers may be carried by the bar B and the inclines by the bar C. Specification 20945/11 is referred to.
