Abstract

1,218,936. Photographic diazotype materials. RICOH. K.K. March 28, 1968, No. 15009/68. Heading G2C. A two-component diazotype material used for preparing intermediate masters comprises a lighttransmitting support coated with a diazonium compound of formula where R is alkyl with 1 or 2 carbon atoms, X is an anion and a coupler of formula wherein R 1 and R 2 are alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The material to imagewise exposed and developed with an alkaline solution which may contain a coupler to give a yellow or yellow-bronze dye image and used as an intermediate master. The same developer bath may be used to develop the one-component diazotype material exposed to the intermediate master. The light-sensitive layer may contain methylene blue.
