[Also in Division C2L] Silver halide developing Compounds of formula;- in which R 1 is a hydroxyalkyl group, R 2 is a hydroxayalkyl, alkyl or substituted alkyl group, in which the alkyl group contains up to 4 carbon atoms and R 3 is an aryl group are used as constituents of photographic silver halide developer concentrates. Examples are given of photographic developer solutions containing 4-hydroxymethyl-4- methyl-1 -phenylpyrazolid-3-ore.
