Abstract
1,165,254. Belt fastenings. GORO S.A. 3 May, 1967 [3 May, 1966], No. 20487/67. Heading F2Q. A belt fastening comprises an anchoring element a secured to the belt m at a position spaced from the end thereof and a U-shaped coupling element l connected to the anchoring element a and adapted to be pivotally connected to a similar element on the opposite end of the belt. The elements a, l are secured to the belt m by staples c, n. In a modification, shown in Fig. 7, each anchoring element is in the form of a bent wire loop e. In a further modification, the coupling element t, Fig. 10, is in the form of a bent wire loop with its ends t<SP>1</SP> bent over and pierced through the belt. Figs. 11 to 13 show an embodiment in which a coupling element t is formed of a bent wire loop which passes through holes u in an anchoring element f which is secured to a belt m by staples h and a backing plate j.
