Abstract
1375447 Releasable fastenings E S BOOCOCK 10 May 1973 48675/72 Heading E2A [Also in Division F2] A paper fastener for holding together prepunched sheets or booklets comprises two tags or end pieces, each formed with a central loop or hole, linked together by a continuous band or closed loop of elastically extensible material which passes through the loops or holes in the tags or end pieces. The tags or end pieces may be of metal or plastics, and may be of bar form with a central loop, or a disc with a central hole counterbored or dished (Figs. D to F, not shown). The elastic band may be a single strand or several strands laid, twisted, or woven together, and may be continuous or joined by a knot or a crimped metal member, Fig. 1. Where a knot is used, it may be received in the counterbore or dished portion of an end piece of disc form.
