Abstract

1,155,605. Metallic card clothing. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. 2 June, 1967 [22 June, 1966], No. 27863/66. Heading D1N. Metallic card clothing consists of wireformed with a single row of teeth and wound spirally around the cylinder or doffer of the card, the width of the wire being at the most. 1/35 inch. The ratio between the number of wires per inch across the width of the cylinder or doffer and the number of teeth .per inch along the wire is at least 1.75 to 1 and preferably at least 3 to 1. The teeth are formed by machining from a metal blank of rectangular cross section with dimensions h and t.
