Abstract
1,153,749. Water tube boilers. PRINCES INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. 8 Sept., 1966, No. 40153/66. Heading F4A, A water tube boiler comprises a tube lined combustion chamber having fuel burners 9 in its front face. From the combustion chamber the flue gases pass into a flue 3 through offset tubes 25 to pass over a convection tube bank 11, on their way to a smoke pipe 12. Closely pitched tubes (28, 17) and/or refractory partitions (18, 20) ensure a symmetrical distribution of flow gases over the tubes of the convection heated bank 11. Cleaning doors are provided at the sides of the flue. The smoke pipe 12 is reversible.
