Abstract

1,178,422. Steam generators. SOC. DE CONSTRUCTIONS AMANDINOISES. 27 April, 1967 [3 June, 1966], No. 19373/67. Heading F4A. A boiler comprises a hearth 1, the heat source 3 and the flue gas outlet for which are at the same end, the other end being closed and the cross-section of the hearth increases continuously from its closed end to the gas outlet. A chimney 13 is located adjacent the closed end of the hearth and a plurality of flue pipes 8 connect the flue gas outlet to the chimney. The water space 2 substantially encloses the hearth, the smoke outlet and the flue pipes. The degree of inclination of the axis of the burner 3 may vary between one half and two degrees in proportion to the length of the hearth.
