Abstract

1,095,226. Discharge lamp circuits. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. Dec. 16, 1964 [Dec. 18, 1963], No. 51263/64. Heading H2H. A circuit for operating a pair of discharge lamps particularly high-pressure mercury lamps comprises a transformer having two secondary windings 9, 10 in series on the same leg each winding having a capacitor 13, 16 and a lamp 14, 15 across its terminals. A shunt 6 may be provided between the secondary and primary winding or windings, which may be connectible in series or parallel. An additional capacitor 22 is connected across a part or whole of the secondary windings which may have unequal numbers of turns.
