Abstract
Un procedimiento para fabricación de un artículo conformado de polímero reticulado, en especial un artículo que tiene capacidad para recuperarse dimensionalmente, que comprende conformar, por extrusión, moldeo o un método similar una composición polímera que comprende un homo- o copolímero de etileno lineal de baja densidad, que antes de reticular está caracterizado por una densidad a 25ºC de 0,940 gramos/cm3 o menos y una linealidad, expresada en términos de grupo metilo colgantes por 103 átomos de carbono de la cadena polímera, menor que 30, con ausencia sustancial de ramificaciones de cadena larga y un homo- o copolímero compatible y durante la operación de conformación o después de dicha operación, someter la composición a un tratamiento de reticulación por exposición a radiación ionizaste, exposición a irradiación de gran intensidad, tal como rayos electrónicos o rayos gamma, o por la acción de un agente reticulador, y si es preciso, deformar el articulo conformado a fin de darle capacidad de recuperación de sus dimensiones.
