Abstract

The packaging container for receiving a flowable product consists of a flexible bag resting in a rigid envelope and having a closeable bung (1) and an opening assigned to said bung in the envelope, it being possible for the bung to be pulled out of the envelope by means of a grip attachment, arranged on said bung, and to be fixed at the edge of the opening by an abutment. A solution is to be provided which allows the bung of a container of the relevant type to be put into a functional position of readiness for metering immediately after it has been pulled out of and positioned on the rigid packaging envelope and, in doing so, to guarantee that unintentional product outflow does not take place in any metering positions, above all, however, in the closed position. This is achieved in that the bung (1) is provided with a laterally directed product outlet tube (7) which branches radially and laterally from an axially directed cylindrical inside tube (5) of the bung, it being possible for the outlet cross-section (8) of said tube to be closed and exposed by means of a cylindrical tube (10), extending into the inside tube (5), with a corresponding opening (14) of a closure cap (9), which is rotatable in relation to the bung, the outlet cross-section (9) or the opening (14) being constructed with an edge bead (19) on the mutually facing side, and in that the radial extension of the product outlet tube (7) is equal to or smaller than that of the abutment of the bung (1). <IMAGE>
