Abstract

1510378 Lined cartons; tipping apparatus SEVALCO Ltd 16 July 1976 [19 July 1975] 30332/75 Headings B8P and B8E Apparatus for emptying a container comprises a pivoted frame 12 having one open side, and a conical shoot 16 fitted with a valve 17, the shoot being hinged or screwed down over an end 6 of the container after release of a tie 7. Upon pivoting the apparatus about a point 13 the contents are discharged into a hopper 15. A tube provided with a suspension loop ensures a flow of air into the container during emptying. The container holds a granular or powdered product and comprises an outer cardboard case 1 having top and bottom caps 2, 3 and an inner polythene sleeve 4. The container is mounted on a pallet 11 which is removed before emptying out the contents.
