Abstract

1412720 Discharging hoppers; containers with dispensers SCHMALBACH-LUBECAWERKE AG 10 Sept 1973 [21 Feb 1973] 42480/73 Headings B8S and B8P A receptacle for receiving and delivering small piece-goods, e.g. crown caps, comprises a parallelepiped rigid container body 1 having an open upper end 5, and the lower end communicating through a funnel 6 with a closable opening 8, the container being supported on legs 10 corresponding in length with that of the funnel and having its inner space A enclosed in a lining 11, the ends of which, in use, overlap each other. The container body 1 is integrally formed with the legs 10, by tubes 3 and has grid like walls 4, the funnel 6 being formed from sheet metal. The lining 11, formed of a tubular plastic foil, prevents entry of dust to the goods and closes the grid walls 4, the lower overlapping end 8 of the lining being supported at the funnel outlet on a slide valve 9 which manually or mechanically controls the discharge of caps as shown in Fig. 2 (not shown). Gusset plates 12 may be secured to the upper corners of the receptacle to facilitate stacking thereof, and the receptacle may be secured to a pallet 2 suitably apertured for discharge from the funnel outlet.
