Claims (8)

  1. Up-and-over tilting or pivoting door (100, 300) having a frame (1) and a door panel (2) and a protective device in the form of a sealing strip (22, 23) formed as a profiled strip and attached to the frame (1) or the door panel (2) for protectively sealing off and covering the gap (21) between the frame (1) and the door panel (2) which is present when the tilting or pivoting door (100, 300) is in the closed position,
    wherein the sealing strip (22, 23) has a first profile section (24) acting as a carrier or support element, by means of which the sealing strip (22) is fixed to the frame (1) or to the door panel (2), and a second profile section (25, 45) which forms a protective lip element and is mounted in projecting manner on the first profile section (24) acting as a carrier or support element so that in the closed position it covers the door gap (21), the second profile section being constructed to be movable or yielding relative to the first profile section,
    while the first profile section (24) acting as a carrier or support element (24) is arranged between an end face (29) of the frame facing the door panel (2) in the closed position and a circumferential face of the door panel which is to be moved past the latter in the course of the movement of the door panel,
    characterised in that
    the sealing strip consists of a mixture of materials,
    the first profile section (24) consisting of a first, rigid, unyielding plastics material or composite material and thus being formed as a slippage prevention means between the end face (29) of the frame and a circumferential face of the door panel and
    the second profile section (25, 45) consisting of a plastics or composite material which is more yielding, softer and more elastic compared with the first plastics or composite material, such that the second profile section can move to accommodate a foreign body located at the gap (21), particularly a person's hand or finger, in the course of a movement of the door panel (2) and frame (1) towards each other, so as to reduce or prevent any jamming or crushing of the foreign body.
  2. Tilting or pivoting door according to claim 1, characterised in that the two materials are hard or soft rubber, hard or soft PVC or other plastics or composite materials which can be manufactured in different grades of elasticity or hardness and are joined together during the manufacturing process to form the sealing strip (22, 23).
  3. Tilting or pivoting door according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the first profile section comprises a load-bearing straight profile bar (24, 43) in the form of a strip, from which at least one fixing portion (26, 27; 44) is bent away to project therefrom.
  4. Tilting or pivoting door according to claim 3, characterised in that the fixing portion (26) or at least one (26) of a plurality of fixing portions (26, 27) forms an engagement portion which engages in a retaining groove (30) provided on the frame (1) or on the door panel (2).
  5. Tilting or pivoting door according to claim 4, characterised in that the fixing portion (26) engages in a retaining groove (30) provided on the end face (29) of the frame directed towards the circumferential face of the door panel for securing a slippage strip or in a retaining groove provided on the inside (31) of the frame facing into the room which is to be closed off by the door panel.
  6. Tilting or pivoting door according to one of claims 3 to 5, characterised in that the fixing portion (44) or at least one (27) of a plurality of fixing portions (26, 27) engages round an inner edge (32, 46) of the door panel (1) or the frame (2) on which the sealing strip (22, 23) is secured.
  7. Tilting or pivoting door according to one of claims 3 to 6, particularly according to claim 6, characterised by a fixing device (28; 33, 39, 40, 41; 48, 9) for clamping, screwing, riveting or otherwise securing the fixing portion (26, 27, 44) or one of the fixing portions (26, 27, 44) and preferably the fixing portion (27, 44) engaging around the inner edge (32,46) on the door panel (21) or frame (1) which is to be provided with the sealing strip (22, 23).
  8. Tilting or pivoting door according to claim 7, characterised in that the fixing device comprises one or more recesses (33, 39), in retaining, mounting or guiding means (11, 34, 51, 50), close to the inner edge (32, 46), projecting away from the door panel (2) or frame (1) fitted with the sealing strip (22, 23), said means (11, 34, 51, 50) permitting or assisting the fixing of the door panel (2) and frame (1) to one another or the relative movement thereof, while the fixing portion (27, 44) embracing the inner edge (32, 46) can be inserted into said recess(es) (33, 39) and/or clamped therein.
