Definitions
- the present invention relates to a form integrated, removable card, the form be constructed in one layer, but in particular in multiple layers can.
- the cards can be cards that are in the The form is practically ready and can only be removed have to. However, it can also be cards that are in the form not in their final layer structure but in several Share exist and for example by the user at Detach, if necessary after applying personalization, only ready to be assembled. Because it usually does Folding process is connected, such cards are also called Inscribed butterfly cards.
- the cards can be designed so that they initially have the properties of self-adhesive labels or Self-adhesive labels are made from them, e.g. by subtracting one Release paper.
- the cards can also be used as so-called vignettes can be formed, which are provided for this purpose are to be glued behind a sheet of glass, whereby they on its side facing the glass pane with a certain, possibly individual information is provided.
- Forms with integrated cards of the aforementioned type are e.g. known from WO 95/20493 or EP-A1-0 733 490. Both known forms is on the back of the primary Form material glued to a carrier material, which is a Carrier layer and a peel layer includes.
- the card is in the area of the carrier material by punching directly in the Form created, with the die cut from the front of the form up to the carrier layer of the carrier material is executed.
- the achievable with this training and on the advantage of the special properties of the peeling layer The main thing is that the card is bridge free as well can be punched out all round.
- the peel is like that set that his when removing the card Essentially loses stickiness.
- Suitable Schwarz-kite of this type can indeed different principles can be realized, but these are all with a not inconsiderable effort in production and processing.
- the well-known peeling system also show one of environmental conditions such as temperature and Moisture-dependent separation value behavior and are therefore also not easy to master technologically.
- the total thickness of the known forms in the map area by including the primary Form material in the card is kept low, but carries on the other hand, the carrier layer is not insignificant to this Total thickness at.
- the carrier layer is not insignificant to this Total thickness at.
- the invention as characterized in claim 1 solves the task of a form with integrated, removable To indicate card, which without Shulim and without one Carrier layer that does not form part of the finished Card is. According to the invention, this is done using a form reached, where the card with the surrounding material at least partially along its outer edge in the form (Card edge) over a bridge designed as a predetermined breaking line is connected, the material thickness along the bridge is consistently less than the total thickness of the form.
- the bridge is advantageously through an inner or a outer sub-layer formed, with all other sub-layers from one or both sides of the form along the bridge on the edge of the card e.g. are severed by punching.
- the Bridge can also or alternatively by a residual strength between two attached from the two sides of the form mutually congruent or at least essentially congruent cutting lines are formed.
- the desired training can be achieved through the above-mentioned training Set the holding value of the card well in the form, namely in geometrically about the depth of the incision or incisions or the resulting residual strength of those left intact Partial layer, or about the remaining thickness between two of the two Form pages made of incisions.
- the optimal Value depends on the type of material and / or by the application is determined.
- the card can be easily and without the There is a risk that the material will be different than along the bridge from the form as a predetermined breaking line cut out.
- the bridge can be even over its length and bar-free, but also sawtooth-shaped or according to Art a perforation with alternating cuts and Web sections to be formed.
- "classic" perforation is also present in the Web sections at least partially cut the material, so that only the mentioned in the area of the webs There is residual starch.
- a supporting layer of paper can be applied like produce plasticized cards in the prior art. Because of their rather unfavorable tear or The film layers are suitable for tear propagation properties however less for the formation of the bridge. The bridge will therefore with advantage e.g. in the supporting paper layer trained and the film cover layer / s along the bridge the card edge fully cut.
- additional separating layers or additional separating layer material can also be used for butterfly cards, Cards or vignettes containing self-adhesive labels realize.
- the cards are over and over the entire surface Writable on the back, even if they are still on the form are integrated.
- film cover layers can be specially treated for the purpose of being writable, i.e. e.g. be matted.
- the present invention also relates to a method for Production of the forms according to the invention
- the type described above, which thereby according to claim 24 is marked that the form for generating the card from both sides at least partially along the edge of the card congruent or at least essentially congruent is punched.
- the double-sided punching can be done on individual forms as well as on endless tracks in which the forms are still related. It can be viewed from both sides at the same time, but also carried out one after the other with respect to the two sides become.
- the resulting requirements for the In principle, register accuracy can be controlled.
- the inventive concept is largely material and independent of thickness. It works in plain paper as well as in a complicated multilayer structure.
- the card is taken from the forms according to the invention in the Contrary to those based on the peeling principle despite higher ones Holding force without curl effect, because the card at Removal practically does not have to be bent, but simply can be pushed through.
- Fig. 1 denotes a part only in supervision of his
- the form shown on the front and 2 an integrated one Map.
- the card edge is labeled 3.
- Adjacent to the Card edge 3 is punched a hole 4 through which a Section 5 of the card edge 3 is exposed. Hole 4 facilitates the removal of card 2 and therefore forms a kind Removal aid.
- FIG. 2 to 6 show examples of possible layer structures of the form of Figure 1 in section, the section in each case along the line A-A in Fig. 1.
- form 1 is single-layered built up, i.e. it only consists of a paper layer 6.
- the two Die cut lines 7 and 8 are all-round, web-free and executed congruent.
- the partial layer 9 forms along the Card edge 3 between the two punching lines 7 and 8 one Bridge designed as a predetermined breaking line. By pressing the Card area or by grasping the card edge 5 in the area the hole 4 punched out as a removal aid can this bridge destroyed and card 2 can be removed from the form.
- Fig. 2 b) shows the form with card 2 removed.
- FIG. 3 shows a multi-layer built form, but on the same principle based on that of Fig. 2, i.e. here, too, card 2 through an inner partial layer 9 of a paper layer 6 in the form level.
- card 2 through an inner partial layer 9 of a paper layer 6 in the form level.
- front and back additionally film cover layers 10 and 12 by means of Pressure-sensitive adhesive layers 11 and 13 on the paper layer 6 glued.
- the two punchings 7 and 8 are through this additional layers and cut through this completely along the edge of the card. This will removing the card is much easier and in particular, ensure that the through-going Sublayer 9 of the paper layer 6 bridge formed in only tears along the edge of the card as desired.
- the Crack edge between the two film cover layers is always be a bit frayed.
- the additional layers 10-13 can be smaller in terms of area be designed as the paper layer 6. Just like this in Fig. 1 is indicated by the broken line 14 when it the area of card 2 and, if necessary, the removal aid 4 cover. You could achieve a uniform one Thickness, however, also laminated over the entire surface with the paper layer 6 his. A uniform thickness has a favorable effect on the Forms can be stacked and processed in Cut sheet printers.
- the bridge over which the card 2 is held in the form level by a separate sub-layer 15 is formed, which by means of a Pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 16 with the paper layer 6, here on the latter Back, is glued.
- Layer 15 is preferably one thin layer of paper.
- the two congruent punchings 7 and 8 run up to layer 15.
- Fig. 5 shows an embodiment with a first type of Butterfly card.
- a piece of a release material a base layer 17 and a release coating 18 inserted, the latter facing the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 11.
- Thickness is drawn, it can actually be uniformly thick be trained.
- the piece of separating material is something in terms of area smaller than the front cover layer 10 or Pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 11 and only covers that in FIG. 1 the broken line 19 outlined area, which also the Area of card 2 not completely covered.
- the front film cover layer 10 together with that hanging piece of release material bent and the surface 21 the paper layer 6 e.g. for individual labeling partially exposed.
- the lettering can then by sticking the film cover layer 10 onto the Paper surface 21 can be sealed. This requires just removed the piece of release material and the PSA layer 11 are exposed.
- FIG. 6 is also based on that of Fig. 3, only that here in addition on the back Foil cover layer 12 further sublayers 22-26 are provided are.
- the sub-layer 22 is a peel layer and the Sub-layer 23 e.g. a layer of paper with a particular Imprint can be provided.
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 24 follows and finally a release material with a release coating 25 on a base layer 26.
- This structure makes it possible to remove the card 2 remove the backing material 25/26 and remove the card by means of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 25 exposed on it on a any surface 27 like a self-adhesive label to stick. Separating the non-permanently set Connection between the Shulim Mrs 22 and the Film cover layer 12 can then still be one free, non-self-adhesive card 2 'with the example of Fig. 3 receive corresponding structure.
- the three layers 22-24 remain on the surface 27.
- One on the layer Any labeling that may have been applied becomes visible. This shows Fig. 6b).
- the remaining part can be used as a control label, for example 2 '' for card 2 '.
- the peeling layer 22 is preferably set so that after their separation of the film cover layer 12 is no longer sticky.
- FIG. 7 shows, like FIG. 1, a top view of a part of a Form 1 according to the invention, the integrated card here is a second type of butterfly card or a vignette, that in form 1 in expanded form in two areas 28 and 29 are available.
- form 1 comprises a paper layer 30, on which by means of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 31 on the back Foil cover layer 32 is glued. In area 29 is between the paper layer 30 and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 31 another one Separating layer 33 inserted.
- form 1 from both sides punched, the punched lines 34 and 35 along the outer Edge 3 'of the two card parts (card edge in the form) in the Areas 28 and 29 to the depth of a sub-layer 36 of the Paper layer 30 all-round, web-free and congruent are executed.
- line 37 between the two Areas 28 and 29 is the form material from the front additionally down to the depth of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 31 punched (punch line 38).
- Area 29 of Form 1 can be removed, the by the sub-layer 36 of the paper layer 30 along the bridge the punch lines 34 and 35 is destroyed in this area.
- This also causes the two layers below to lose 31 and 32 in this area 29 their connection to which they surrounding material.
- This can be done in a next Folded over into area 28 and there with Surface of the paper layer 30 can be glued as by this the arrow 40 is illustrated.
- Fig. 8 has the advantage that the Surface of the paper layer 30 in the area 28 is exposed and in front the card can be individually labeled or printed upon removal is. In the finished card, however, this surface is through the film cover layer 32 originating from the other area 29 sealed.
- the Embodiment of Fig. 8 also a multi-layer structure Interface material with the same function can be used.
- the Area 29 could also have the punch 34 omitted, whereby then the auxiliary card 39 would be omitted.
- the actual card in the opened state from the form detached below and only in the detached state by Fold up and glue both parts ready be assembled.
- FIG. 9 shows a form according to FIG. 7 in training with integrated vignette, the layer structure from FIG. 9a) can be seen. This largely corresponds to that of Fig. 8a), only that instead of just one separating layer 33, two Separating layers 41 and 42 on both sides of the one in between Pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 31 are provided. In addition, it is Form material along line 37 between the two Regions 28 and 29 provided with a perforation 43 through all sub-layers are punched through.
- the process of creating and removing the vignette is as follows: First, e.g. as a coupon or Control card usable auxiliary card 39 from the area 29 of the Form 1 detached, the by the sub-layer 36 of the Paper layer 30 formed bridge along the punch lines 34 and 35 is destroyed in this area. This also causes them to lose underlying layers 31, 32 and 42 in this area their connection to the material surrounding them and can in a second step folded into area 28 and there with be glued to the surface of paper layer 30 like this is illustrated by the arrow 44 in Fig. 9b). Which resulting structure is shown in Fig. 9c). Based on this structure as a third step, another folding process is required, in which according to arrow 45 in Fig.
- Sub-layers are the same size as the paper layer itself, which makes the form as a whole a uniform thickness receives.
- the sub-layers mentioned could possibly be used for Material savings, smaller in area than the paper layer to get voted.
- FIGS. 10-16 Exemplary embodiments all relate to forms with cards, which include a self-adhesive label, as is the case with the 6 was already the case.
- the embodiment of FIG. 10 can then also be seen in that of Fig. 6 derived by omitting different layers.
- a paper layer 50 On the back of a paper layer 50 is in the example of 10 only by means of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 51 Release paper with a release layer 52 and a base layer 53 glued. The form is from both sides congruent to the depth of a sub-layer 54 in the Paper layer 50 is punched, as shown in FIGS. 10 a) - c) demonstrate.
- Fig. 10 d) corresponds to Fig. 10b).
- Fig. 10 e) shows that Form with card 55 removed. In Fig. 10 f) this is in a simple self-adhesive label 56 and one Release paper part 57 separated.
- FIG. 11 is the example of FIG. 10 around a removal aid 58 for the card 55 on the one hand and a pull-off aid 59 for the Release paper 57 on the other hand added.
- a removal aid 58 for the card 55 on the one hand and a pull-off aid 59 for the Release paper 57 on the other hand added.
- Fig. 11 a) and 11 d) views of the front of the form
- Fig. 11 c) and 11 f) are views of the back of the Form.
- FIG. 11 So the form of FIG. 11 is outside the one with 58 and 59 designated aids according to Fig. 11 a) - c) from both sides congruent to the depth of the sub-layer 54 in the Paper layer 50 punched.
- the form is in the area of the removal aid 59 on the other hand not stamped from the back. From the front the form in this area along section 60 on the Card edge punched to the depth of the separating layer 52 and along the outer, framing the area of the pulling aid 59 Line 61 fully punched.
- a die-cut 62 from the area of the removal aid 58 are removed, which creates a hole in the form and a Section 63 (Fig. 11a) of the card edge is exposed.
- a Section 63 Fig. 11a
- the removal aid 59 forms on the removed card a kind of grip tab, which is easily grasped and for separating the release paper part 57 from the self-adhesive label 56 can be used, as is shown in FIG. 11 i) is recognizable.
- Fig. 13 combines the concepts of Embodiments of Figures 11 and 12, i.e. that here the the Continuous sub-layer 64 forming a bridge in the base layer 53 of the release paper and an additional removal aid 58 as well a removal aid 59 are provided.
- the form in the area of the removal aid 58 is the form in the area of the removal aid 58 however, fully punched through, so that the die 62 is already in form making its connection to him surrounding material loses and falls out of the form. In the example of FIG. 11, this could of course also be carried out his.
- Fig. 14 differs from that 13 only with regard to the execution of the pulling aid 59.
- this pull-off aid as well as this in terms of area Outstanding is locally here on the back of the form Release coating 65 before application of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 51 and the release paper 52/53 have been applied.
- the local Release coating 65 includes in Figure 14 c) recognizable. Then is in addition to the punchings from the front, which according to FIG from the back of the form along one Line 66 a die cut to the paper layer 50 executed, as can be seen in Fig. 14 e).
- the punch line 66 runs completely in the area of the map.
- stamping technology as well as the separation properties of the local Release coating 65 can be in the area of the removal aid 59 Punch 67 can be removed and thereby a crescent-like grip zone 68 on the back of the card between the Card edge and die cut line 66 are exposed like this Fig. 14 g) shows.
- the self-adhesive label 56 could be removed separately also based on the embodiment of FIG. 13 achieved that, as shown in Fig. 15 only under a) and b), shows in a corner of the card from the back of the form a T-shaped punch 70 in the release paper 52/53 and from the Form front from a short, attached to the foot of the T's then carried out through all layers Incision 71 is attached.
- this configuration it is sufficient to remove the self-adhesive label separately, use a print finger on the one with the T-shaped incision Card corner.
- Fig. 16 shows under a) - c) three variants that are part of the The exemplary embodiments described above would also be applicable:
- the paper layer is with the entire surface Pressure sensitive adhesive layer 51 and the release paper 52/53 laminated, one Opportunity that has already been discussed. Although more Coating material is required, the advantage results of uniform thickness across the entire form area.
- Fig. 16 c shows an embodiment in which the Die cuts for generating the card 55 outside the area of the Pressure sensitive adhesive 51 and the release paper coating 52/53 are executed.
- the double-sided punch 81 on the one hand and 82 on the other hand not for generating the map 83 exactly, but essentially congruent, i.e. that they are slightly offset to one side.
- the Punch 81 is T1 deep and punch 82 is deep executed a depth T2. With d is the thickness of the paper layer designated.
- the effective residual strength naturally also depends on mutual lateral offset of the two die cuts 81 and 82 which, in addition to the punching depths, has an additional, independent Forms parameters over which the residual strength is controlled and can be set according to the respective requirements can.
- Fig. 18 shows schematically a device with which a congruent on both sides or essentially congruent punching for the production of forms of type according to the invention is possible in one operation.
- two magnetic cylinders are designated, which on their Larger rolls 92 and 93 each end Have diameter.
- At 94 and 95 are thin, metallic Stamped sheets referred to the surface of the two Magnetic cylinders 90 and 91 are placed on and magnetically stick to this.
- the punch plates 94 and 95 are in a known manner provided with raised, sharp intersections 86 and with respect these webs are at least partially mirror images.
- the two punching plates can therefore be placed on the magnetic cylinders 90 and 91 are positioned so that there are corresponding webs exactly or at least essentially opposite.
- the Diameter of the magnetic cylinder 90.91, the rollers 92, 92, the Thickness of the stamping plates 94, 95 and the height of the cutting webs is chosen so that directly opposite between each other Interfaces e.g. a residual thickness ⁇ approximately in the size of the thickness a partial layer serving as a bridge remains.
- FIG. 19 shows an embodiment with only again a paper layer 100.
- the bridge holding card 101 in one Outer sublayer 102 of the paper layer is formed, specifically through a single, only from one side of the paper layer executed punching 103.
- the punching 103 continues to be so explained that the outer layer 102 resulting bridge is broken like a perforation, as shown in Fig. 19 b), in which a section E-E along the punch line 103 is shown.
- the die cut 103 separated area is unshaded in Fig. 19 b) shown.
- the height of the webs 105 corresponds precisely to the thickness or residual thickness of the partial layer 102 which e.g. is approximately 50 ⁇ .
- the fully cut sections 104 and the webs 105 are shown with the same length, they are preferably designed differently, namely cut sections 104 several times longer than the webs 105. The latter are so for the respective material chosen as short as possible so that when card 101 is removed the crack strictly follows the given line and a tearing deviating from this line is avoided.
- webs 105 of approx. 0.1 - .3 mm length alternating with fully punched sections 104 approx. 0.5 - 1.0 mm long, still sufficient for card 101 to be kept firmly in form 100 (the card is sufficiently firm 101 e.g.
- Removing card 101 is made even easier by that the form material in each of the four corner zones 106 is full is punched through, so that the bridge extends to part of the straight sections of card 101 are restricted.
- a removal aid of the type already described in In the form of a hole adjacent to the card 101 like e.g. Fig. 1 shows.
- the hold value can be predominantly in portrait format of card 101 in form 100 in the longitudinal and transverse directions as well still by different choice of the cut-to-web ratio different on the long and short sides of the card 101 can be set.
- FIG. 20 shows an embodiment corresponding to FIG. 19, only that here the paper layer 110 in front and on the back with Foil cover layers 116 and 117 is glued.
- the corresponding Pressure-sensitive adhesive layers are designated 118 and 119.
- the the Bridge-forming sub-layer 102 is here through the lower Foil layer 117 formed, the bridge through a cut-web sequence is structured in itself again.
- the rather unfavorable tear properties of Plastic films can also in this embodiment Remove the card from the form, if only sufficiently short bridges on the order of magnitude of the already 0.1 mm are used and the cut-web ratio is about 6: 1.
- As a film for the Foil cover layers 116 and 117 come e.g. a biaxially stretched Polyester film of 50 ⁇ m thickness in question.
- Such a stamped sheet 120 shows e.g. Fig. 21 a). Is only shown in Fig. 21 a) a portion of the punch plate 120 with a short section of one Stanzsteges 121. This rises above the remaining level of the Stamping plate 120, in the area of which it is just about 0.1 mm thick, with an approximately triangular cross-section and is toothed educated.
- the height of the web 121 is in the area of the teeth 122 e.g. 0.44 mm and in the area of the spaces 123 approx Half of it, about 0.22 mm.
- the rather blunt cutting edge in the interstices 123 does not, however, readily allow the film cover layer 117 to be stamped to a certain extent in the area of the webs 105, which would be advantageous if necessary.
- a punching plate of the type according to FIG. 21 b this would also be possible in that with this punching plate 120 1 , a cutting edge is also formed in the spaces 123 1 between the teeth 122 1 .
- the stamping plate 120 1 from FIG. 21 b) can, however, only be produced with greater effort.
- FIG. 21 c) shows a compromise between the stamped sheets of FIGS. 21 a) and 21 b).
- a cutting edge is also present in the spaces 123 2 between the teeth 122 2 , although this also runs transversely with respect to the direction of the punch web 121 2 .
- a profile milling cutter such as is shown schematically next to FIG. 21 c) and is designated by 130.
- FIG. 22 shows two sections corresponding to FIG. 19 under a) and b) b), only that here the bridge again inside each single layer 140 and in this respect e.g. a bilateral Punching is required for their training.
- the bridge in itself again structured in Fig. 22 a) according to the type of saw line and in 22 b) in the manner of a perforation.
- FIG. 23 shows a section through a form 150 according to FIG Invention with a load-bearing paper layer 151 and on both sides Foil cover layers 152 and 153, which essentially only the Cover area of map 154.
- Form 150 is now in the Area of the top layers 152, 153 pressed together so that its total thickness in this area is approximately equal to its thickness is outside of this range.
- Such is possible Training and others because of the advantageous structure of the Form according to the invention without using a Backing layer which is not part of the finished card.
- Forms according to FIG. 22 can be stacked better than such with inconsistent thickness.
- Compressing the form in the area of the top layers can be done in a separate operation, but with advantage directly in connection with the punching, as yes already when punching with that shown in Fig. 21 a) Punching sheet from crushing and / or compressing the Form material in the area of the punch webs was discussed. Basically e.g. a device according to FIG. 18 for a combined punching and compressing suitable, whereby however, with regard to e.g. B. on the embodiments according to Fig. 19 or 20, not necessarily both sheets of punch webs should have.
- the bridge could also be realized by completely different means his. It would be conceivable, for example, when punching into the die cut to apply an adhesive, which after curing is advantageous has a certain brittleness. In this case it could may be fully punched from one side only. It is also not necessary to build up the final layer punch. The necessary separating cuts could e.g. previous in individual sub-layers or groups of sub-layers lamination.
