Abstract
Μία πλατφόρμα ανίχνευσης για χρήση στην ανάλυση δειγμάτων περιλαμβάνει ένα υπόστρωμα (30) με δείκτη διάθλασης (n1) και ένα λεπτό, οπτικά διαφανές στρώμα (32) με δείκτη διάθλασης (n2) πάνω στο υπόστρωμα, (n2) μεγαλύτερο από (n1). Οι χαραγές είναι διαμορφωμένες, διαστασιολογημένες και προσανατολισμένες με τέτοιον τρόπο ώστε όταν το σύμφωνο φως προσπίπτει πάνω στην πλατφόρμα να διαθλάται σε μεμονωμένες ακτίνες ή τάξεις διάθλασης με αποτέλεσμα τη μείωση της εκπεμπόμενης ακτίνας και μία ανώμαλα υψηλή ανάκλαση του προσπίπτοντος φωτός και με αυτόν τον τρόπο τη δημιουργία ενός ενισχυμένου αποσβένοντος πεδίου στην επιφάνεια της ή κάθε περιοχής ανίχνευσης. Το εύρος αυτού του πεδίου σε κατάσταση συντονισμού είναι μεγαλύτερη κατά τάξη μεγέθους περίπου 100 σε σύγκριση με το πεδίο των πλατφόρμων προγενέστερων τεχνικών έτσι ώστε η ένταση της φωταύγειας που δημιουργείται από δείγματα στην πλατφόρμα αυξάνεται επίσης κατά 100. Επίσης παρουσιάζεται μία συσκευή που περιλαμβάνει την πλατφόρμα και μία μέθοδος χρήσης της πλατφόρμας.
