Abstract

本实用新型公开了一种电连接器,用于实现电子元件和电路板的电性连接,其包括绝缘本体和导电端子。绝缘本体设有第一对接面、第二对接面及贯设于第一对接面和第二对接面间的若干端子收容孔。导电端子收容于对应之端子收容孔内,其包括用于电性连接电路板的焊接基部,及自基部向前上方延伸的弹性臂,该弹性臂设有接触部及从接触部向后下方延伸的末端。其中用于电性连接电路板的接触部突露于绝缘本体的第一对接面之上,末端位于绝缘本体的第一对接面之下并收容于绝缘本体的端子收容孔内,从而防止导电端子因受不当外力而变形和损伤,进而保证了电子元件和电路板的良好电性连接。

【技术领域】
本实用新型有关一种电连接器,尤指一种用于电性连接电子元件和电路板的电连接器。
【背景技术】
平面格栅阵列(LGA,Land Grid Array)连接器广泛应用于个人计算机,用于电性连接平面格栅阵列晶片模组和电路板。平面格栅阵列连接器包括矩阵排列的若干导电端子,每个导电端子设有焊接到电路板上的焊接基部,及与平面格栅阵列晶片模组的导电垫片连接的接触部。因此,平面格栅阵列晶片模组和电路板可以电性连接。美国专利第6,296,495号揭示了上述的平面格栅阵列连接器,如图1和图2所示,端子1’设有水平的平面焊接基部1O’,用以焊接导电端子1’到电路板80’上,并电性连接导电端子1'和电路板80’。从基部1 O’的第一端部11’沿纵长向向前上方延伸一弹性臂21,,该弹性臂21’有一末端22’,末端22’有一能与平面格栅阵列晶片模组91,底部的导电垫片90’连接的弧形弯曲部分。因此,导电端子1’能电性连接平面格栅阵列晶片模组91’和电路板80’。自基部1O’的第一端部11’反向于弹性臂21’设有“U”形的定位部50’。从基部1O’的第二端部13’相对于定位部50’向上延伸一支持导电端子1’的连接部23’,其末端设有垂直的固持部25’,固持部25’上方定义了两个固持端251’,在固持部25’相对的两侧设有用于导电端子1’固定于绝缘本体3’中的若干凸刺252’。
每个导电端子收容于对应的绝缘本体3’的端子收容孔30’内,焊接基部1O’定位于绝缘本体3’的第二对接面33’,固持部25’的固持端251’收容于绝缘本体3’的收容槽31’中,定位部50’保持在绝缘本体3’的定位孔350’内。基部1O’焊接到电路板80’上,平面格栅阵列晶片模组91’底部的导电垫片90,压在弹性臂21’的末端22’上,这样,端子1’电性连接了平面格栅阵列晶片模组91’和电路板80’。为使平面格栅阵列晶片模组91’底部的导电垫片90,和端子1’的末端22’有良好的接触,端子1’的末端22’位于绝缘本体3’之第一对接面32’之上。然而,在操作过程中,端子1’的末端22’很容易遭到意外划伤,这样就容易导致导电端子1’的变形和损坏,甚至使平面格栅阵列晶片模组91’和电路板80’的电性连接失效。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种能够防止导电端子变形和损害的电连接器。
本实用新型的目的是这样实现的:本实用新型电连接器包括绝缘本体和若干导电端子,其中绝缘本体设有第一对接面、第二对接面及贯设于第一对接面和第二对接面间的若干端子收容孔,端子收容于对应的端子收容孔内,其包括焊接基部,及自基部向前上方延伸的弹性臂,该弹性臂设有接触部及从接触部向后下方延伸的末端。其中接触部突露于绝缘本体的第一对接面之上,末端位于绝缘本体的第一对接面之下。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型具有以下优点:在操作过程中,端子的末端位于绝缘本体的第一对接面之下并收容于绝缘本体的端子收容孔内,从而防止端子因受不当外力而造成变形和损伤,进而保证了电子元件和电路板的良好电性连接。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图3及图4,本实用新型电连接器是用于承接平面格栅阵列晶片模组91并结合于电路板80上,以供平面格栅阵列晶片模组91的导电部分与电路板80的相应回路电性连接,其包括绝缘本体3和导电端子1。
导电端子1设有用于焊接导电端子1到电路板80上的焊接基部1O,该基部10包括相对的第一端部11和第二端部13。自基部第一端部ll向前上方沿纵长向延伸一弹性臂21,该弹性臂21在远离基部1O第一端部11方弯曲设有圆弧形接触部22,用于连接位于平面格栅阵列晶片模组91下方的导电垫片90,从接触部22向后下方延伸一末端24。在弹性臂21和基部10的相交处反向于弹性臂设有一对定位部50。从基部的第二端部13向上、背离定位部50延伸一连接部23,用于支持导电端子1,且和弹性臂21形成一空间。在连接部23的末端、远离定位部50方设一垂直固持部25,其上方设有两个固持端251,其相对的两侧设有使导电端子1牢固地定位于绝缘本体内的若干凸刺252。
请参阅图4,导电端子1收容于对应的绝缘本体3的端子收容孔30内,弹性臂21定位于绝缘本体3的第一对接面32,基部10位于绝缘本体3的第二对接面33上,固持部25的固持端25 1收容于对应的绝缘本体3的收容槽31内,定位部50定位于相应的绝缘本体3的定位孔350中。导电端子1的焊接基部10焊接在电路板80上,而平面格栅阵列晶片模组91的导电垫片90压在弹性臂21的接触部22上,因此,平面格栅阵列晶片模组91与电路板电性连接。导电端子1的末端24位于绝缘本体3的第一对接面32之下,并收容于端子收容孔30内,只有导电端子的接触部22突露于端子收容孔30。这样就防止了在操作过程中由于导电端子1的末端24暴露于端子收容孔30外而造成的意外擦碰,进而减少导电端子1的变形和损害,使平面格栅阵列晶片模组91和电路板80有良好的电性接触。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,包括绝缘本体和导电端子,绝缘本体设有第一对接面、第二对接面及贯穿于第一对接面和第二对接面间的若干端子收容孔,导电端子收容于相应的绝缘本体的端子收容孔内,其设有基部及从基部向前上方延伸的弹性臂,该弹性臂包括接触部和从接触部向后下方延伸的末端,其特征在于:接触部突露于绝缘本体的第一对接面之上,且末端位于绝缘本体的第一对接面之下。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:导电端子的末端收容于对应的绝缘本体的端子收容孔内。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:导电端子的末端基本上平行于弹性臂。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:导电端子的末端沿纵长向向下延伸并终止于基部上方,当导电端子处于压紧状态时,末端不抵触弹性臂和连接部。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:导电端子还包括设有两个固持端的固持部。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:导电端子还包括设于固持部和基部间的连接部。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:导电端子的连接部平行于绝缘本体的第一对接面和第二对接面。
8.如权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体还包括若干个与端子收容孔相连的收容槽。
9.如权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:上述收容槽与端子收容孔正交。
1 0.如权利要求9所述的电连接器,其特征在于:固持部相对的两侧设有若干凸刺,该凸刺干涉收容于相应的收容槽内。
