<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent N r.<B>284075.</B> Verfahren zur Herstellung eines ehromhaltigen Azofarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dar man zu einem wertvollen, neuen chromhaltigen Azofarbstoff gelangt, wenn man auf den Monoazofarbstoff der Formel

chromabgebende Mittel derart einwirken lässt, dass ein chromhaltiger Azofarbstoff entsteht, der zwei Monoazofarbstoffmoleküle an ein Chromatom komplex gebunden enthält.
Der neue chromhaltige Farbstoff bildet ein graues Pulver, das sich in Wasser mit grünblauer, in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit violetter Farbe löst und Wolle aus neu tralem oder essigsaurem Bade in grünblauen Tönen färbt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 15,4 Teile 5-Nitro-2-amino-l-oxybenzol wer den in 150 Teilen Wasser und 20 Teilen 30 % i ger Salzsäure aufgeschlämmt und bei 5 bis 10 mit einer konzentrierten Lösung von 6,9 Teilen Natriumnitrit diazotiert. Die durch Zugabe von Natriumcarbonat neutralisierte Diazoverbindung gibt man in eine mit Eis auf 0 abgekühlte Lösung von 20,
5 Teilen 1-Acetylamino-7-oxynaphthalin in 52 Volum- teilen 2-n-Natriumhydroxydlösung und 30 Vo- lumteilen 2-n-Natriumcarbonatlösung. Nach beendeter Kupplung wird der gebildete Farb- stoff abfiltriert und mit 1%,iger Natrium- chloridlösung gewaschen.
Der getrocknete Farbstoff ist ein braunes Pulver und löst sich in heissem Wasser mit violetter und in kon zentrierter Schwefelsäure mit violetter Farbe.
Der nach obigen Angaben erhaltene Fil terkuchen des Farbstoffes wird in 1500 Tei len Wasser aufgeschlämmt und mit 200 Tei len einer Lösung von chromsalicylsaurem Na- trium mit. einem Chromgehalt von 1,8% ver- setzt. Das Gemisch wird 5 Stunden unter Rückflusskühlung bei Siedetemperatur gehal ten und die Chromverbindung durch Zugabe von Natriumchlorid abgeschieden und fil triert.

The new chromium-containing dye forms a gray powder that dissolves in water with a green-blue color, in concentrated sulfuric acid with a violet color, and colors wool from neutral or acetic acid baths in green-blue tones.
<I> Example: </I> 15.4 parts of 5-nitro-2-amino-1-oxybenzene are suspended in 150 parts of water and 20 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid and at 5 to 10 with a concentrated solution of 6 , 9 parts of sodium nitrite diazotized. The diazo compound, neutralized by adding sodium carbonate, is added to a solution of 20, which has been cooled to 0 with ice.
5 parts of 1-acetylamino-7-oxynaphthalene in 52 parts by volume of 2N sodium hydroxide solution and 30 parts by volume of 2N sodium carbonate solution. When the coupling is complete, the dye formed is filtered off and washed with 1% sodium chloride solution.
The dried dye is a brown powder and dissolves in hot water with a purple color and in concentrated sulfuric acid with a purple color.
The filter cake of the dye obtained according to the above information is suspended in 1500 parts of water and mixed with 200 parts of a solution of sodium chromium salicylic acid. a chromium content of 1.8%. The mixture is refluxed at boiling temperature for 5 hours and the chromium compound is separated off by adding sodium chloride and filtered.
