Description

  

      Verfahren    zur Darstellung eines Chlor und Brom enthaltenden     ltüpenfarbstoffes.       Im Hauptpatent. ist ein Verfahren zur  Darstellung eines Chlor und Brom ent  haltenden     Küpenfarbstoffes    beschrieben, bei  dem 1     Mol        Isodibenzanthrön    in Gegenwart  von     Chlorsulfonsäure    und von Katalysatoren  mit     mindestens    einem halben     Mol    eines     bro-          mierenden        Mittels    behandelt wird.  



  Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man  einen Farbstoff von ähnlichen     Eigenschaften     erhalten kann, wenn man 1     Mol        Di-          benzanthron    in Gegenwart von     Chlorsulfon-          säure    und metallischen Katalysatoren mit  mindestens 2     Mol    eines     bromierenden    Mit  tels behandelt.  



  Der erhaltene     Küpenfärbstoff,    ein     Tetra-          bromdibenzanthron,    das etwas Chlor ent  hält, ist ein dunkelblaues Pulver, löst sich  in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit violetter  Farbe und liefert auf Baumwolle aus violett  blauer     Küpe    klare,     kräftige,    marineblaue  Färbungen von hervorragenden Echtheits  eigenschaften.         Beispiel:     46 Teile     Dibenzanthron         -erden    unter  Rühren in     -f60    Teilen     Chlorsulfonsäure    ge  löst.

   Nach Zugabe von 4 Teilen     Antimon     lässt man 46 Teile Brom zufliessen, erhöht  die Temperatur auf 65 bis<B>70'</B> C und rührt  so lange, bis die Hauptmenge des ange  wandten Broms aufgenommen ist. Darauf  lässt man erkalten und arbeitet in der üblichen  Weise auf.  



  Die Reaktion kann auch bei tieferer Tem  peratur durchgeführt werden.  



  An Stelle von Antimon kann man     @iuch     andere Katalysatoren, zum Beispiel N     iekel.     Eisen,     Molybdän,    Quecksilber, Wismut. Ar  sen usw., anwenden.

  The vat dye obtained, a tetrabromodibenzanthrone containing some chlorine, is a dark blue powder, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a violet color and provides clear, strong, navy blue dyeings with excellent fastness properties on cotton from a violet-blue vat. Example: 46 parts of dibenzanthrone earths dissolved in -f60 parts of chlorosulfonic acid with stirring.

   After adding 4 parts of antimony, 46 parts of bromine are allowed to flow in, the temperature is increased to 65 to 70 ° C. and the mixture is stirred until most of the bromine used has been absorbed. Then you let it cool down and work on in the usual way.



  The reaction can also be carried out at a lower temperature.



  Instead of antimony, other catalysts can also be used, for example nickel. Iron, molybdenum, mercury, bismuth. Arsenic, etc., apply.
