Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA MEDIR DEFEITOS DE VISãO DE UM OLHO HUMANO"<D>. As características óticas de sistemas óticos, tais como o olho, são medidas incluindo defeitos de visão do olho usando um feixe colimado a partir de um laser de diodo focalizado sobre a superfície anterior da córnea do olho, para prover uma fonte finita de radiação secundária sobre a retina do olho, cuja imagem está próxima de uma mancha de difração limitada desejada. A radiação secundária é refletida de volta a partir da retina como uma frente de onda refletida de radiação que passa através do olho e está dirigida para um analisador de frente de onda onde são medidas distorções associadas à frente de onda refletida. Mediante a focalização sobre a córnea através de uma lente de distância focal grande, e assim convergindo o feixe através de um ângulo pequeno, ao contrário de tipicamente focalizar uma luz colimada sobre a retina, são eliminados a necessidade de lentes ou combinações de lentes, e o tempo necessário para ajustar as mesmas para acomodar a visão diferente de cada paciente.
