Abstract
"PRODUçãO MICROBIANA DE áCIDO L-ASCóRBICO E áCIDO D-ERITáRBICO". Um processo para a produção de ácido L-ascórbico ou de ácido D-eritórbico ou em cada caso seu sal de sódio, potássio ou cálcio a partir do ácido 2-ceto-L-gulânico ou do ácido 2-ceto-D-glicónico ou em cada caso de seu sal de sódio, potássio ou cálcio, envolve incubar o ácido 2-ceto-L-guiónico ou o ácido 2-ceto-D-glicónico, cada um como ácido livre ou seu sal de sódio, potássio ou cálcio, e células de um microorganismo termoacidofílico a temperaturas de cerca de 30<198>C a cerca de 100<198>C e a um pH de cerca de 1 a cerca de 6 em uma solução para formar ácido L-ascórbico ou ácido D-eritórbico ou um sal apropriado dos mesmos, e isolar o referido produto da solução. O ácido L-ascórbico (vitamina C) é amplamente usado não apenas no cuidado com a saúde como tal, mas também em gêneros alimentícios, ração animal, por exemplo ração para peixe, e cosméticos. O ácido D-eritórbico é principalmente usado como antioxidante para aditivos de gêneros alimentícios.
