Dalam lingkungan lembaga riset pemerintah, Pejabat Humas bertanggungjawab dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan komunikasi sains ke publik. Untuk menjalaninya, ada hal mendasar yang perlu disadari, yaitu motif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan motif-motif menjadi pejabat Humas Pemerintah yang diungkapkan oleh sembilan informan. Para informan terdiri dari enam orang Pejabat Struktural Humas (eselon II dan III), serta tiga orang Pejabat Fungsional Pranata Humas. Kesembilan informan penelitian berasal dari tiga institusi riset, yaitu BATAN, BPPT, dan LAPAN. Melalui pendekatan fenomenologi, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa motif menjadi pejabat Humas Pemerintah adalah motif penugasan dan peluang karir.

Pangandaran merupakan salah satu kawasan wisata di wilayah Timur Jawa Barat bagian Selatan yang terus dikembangkan oleh pemerintah daerahnya. Selama ini, destinasi wisata di kabupaten Pangandaran yang terkenal hanya berupa wisata pantai (Pantai Pangandaran, Pantai Pasir Putih, Pantai Batu Karas, Pantai Karang Nini, dan Pantai Batu Hiu), dan cagar alam saja, pada hal selain itu terdapat pula destinasi wisata yang sangat potensial berupa wisata budaya, baik yang ada di wilayah pantainya maupun di aktivitas budaya di kawasan perbukitan berupa situs-stus dan ritual-ritual sunda buhun. Perpaduan kawasan destinasi wisata alam dan budaya ini yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan menjadi kawasan detinasi wisata berbasis geopark di kabupaten Pangandaran. Untuk mewujudkan destinasi wisata geopark di kabupaten Pangandaran tersebut diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan komunikasi pariwisata khusunya bagi penggiat wisata yang memiliki kepedulian terhadap pengembangan destinasi wisata berbasis geopark, karena kemampuan dan keterampilan komunikasi pariwisata menjadi nilai tambah yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat yang mengedepankan konsep keselarasan antara para stakeholders, yaitu pemerintah, masyarakat, dan investor. Untuk itu, anggota kelompok penggiat wisata tersebut mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam bentuk kegiatan pelatihan komunikasi pariwisata dengan modal dasar sudah ada yaitu kekayaan alam bahari yang cukup beragam. Berdasarkan permasalahan awal dari hasil pengamatan di lapangan dan yang dihadapi oleh anggota kelompok penggiat wisata di wilayah kecamatan Parigi kabupaten Pangandaran yang telah dipaparkan sebelumnya, maka dirumuskan permasalahan yang menjadi urgensi kegiatan pengabdian ini, yaitu bagaimana pelayanan pariwisata yang dilakukan oleh anggota kelompok penggiat wisata melalui pelatihan komunikasi pariwisata yang berbasiskan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di wilayah kecamatan Parigi kabupaten Pangandaran. Pelayanan komunikasi pariwisata tersebut diimplementasikan dengan sajian informasi yang diceritakan secara runtut (story telling) mulai dari sejarah obyek sampai dengan potensi daya tarik obyek yang dapat menarik minat wisatawan yang sesuai dengan penulisan berita wisata. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa Pelatihan storytelling dapat membangun pemahaman anggota Kompepar, membangkitakn perasaan suka, dan membangun kesediaan anggota Kompepar untuk belajar dan berkarya mensosialisakian destinasi wisata.

The purpose of the research is to find out the motives, meanings and experiences of communication between teachers and students in elementary schools in Bandung City/Regency. The research method uses the phenomenological tradition, with key informants from elementary school teachers of SDN Banjarsari, Bandung City and Cibiru Laboratory Elementary School, Bandung Regency. The (interim) research results show that informants in two elementary schools in Bandung City and Bandung Regency have realized that Education in the industrial era 4.0 is understood as an effort to increase the digitization of communication and information in the field of education. The learning process is closely related to the independent curriculum. Learners continue to strive to have creative, innovative and competitive skills and abilities related to the challenges of learning communication technology that is very fast. Basic education is a strategic opportunity and challenge to meet the rapid changes in society. Making learners who understand some of the problems of society critically and are able to provide good and appropriate solutions. The results showed that Memey's efforts to maintain the classical dance of Sumedang were based on her love for Sundanese culture since she was a kid. Memey interacts and communicates with Sundanese around her every day. She learned Sumedang classical dance from the maestro, Raden Ono Lesmana Kartadikusumah. The aim of the research to create the model of social construction of textile labor about Demonstration and view of labor relations that is expected. The method used is qualitative method with phenomenology tradition. The research subjects are 10 labor consist of 4 textile labor and 6 labor activists in Kabupaten Bandung , in criteria that the informant have ever and always get involved in every demonstration. Through depth interviews and observation, gained the informant ‘s statements of experiences, comprehension, behavior and communication meaning The research has been being carried out since 2006. The result of the research indicates that labor’s comprehension about demonstration is not only the secret and main weapon to fight for their better fate. The labor realize that demonstration is important but it is not the only way to express of their aspiration. Bipartite communication (labor-industrialist) in form of negotiation is better way. Demonstration is done when there is a deadlock situation in communication and negotiation between labor and industrialist. Demonstration also happen when the governments on the industrialist side or it ignore the labor’s need. Labor demonstration is social link of a long history: Class politic; exploitation; domination of bourgeois; fight of practical interest, ideology and culture in productive relations. The reason of the textile labor demonstration is caused of wage system and basic needs as human being, family and collective. Industrialist’s awareness of labor’s life improvement is still low. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana format kicauan yang diunggah oleh kedua pendukung capres. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif berupa Critical Technocultural Discourse Analysis (CTDA) terhadap kicauan akun Twitter pendukung capres, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa secara umum, terdapat kesamaan format kicauan yang digunakan oleh kedua pendukung capres. Selain menggunakan kicauan tunggal (twit) ditemukan pula kicauan dengan format kultwit dan twitwar. Keberadaan kedua format tersebut sekaligus menunjukkan bagaimana budaya kolektivisme (guyub) masyarakat Indonesia mampu bertransformasi di ranah digital Twitter.
