It therefore did not represent an internecine state of hostilities between different polarised sections of the South African population.

The first formal published research conducted on Retired Special Forces Operators with the direct input of retired and serving Special Forces Operators. The research opportunity, co-operation of the Special Forces League, co-operation of the Special Forces Brigade and co-operation of interviewees was facilitated and managed by Stuart Sterzel. The research itself was conducted by Guy Lamb while at the Centre for Conflict Resolution, and published in Track Two - the quarterly research Publication of the Centre for Conflict Resolution (from Page 39 onwards).

A two hour radio interview provided on the Angolan War, with emphasis on the deciding battles of the Angolan War in 1987, which saw the the greatest Conventional Battles on the African Continent since the battle of El Alamein in 1942, and the greatest defeat of a Soviet-led Conventional Army since Operation Barbarossa in 1941. The first two minutes of the interview and a two minute period in the middle are in the Afrikaans language, and the balance of the interview is in the English language.
