    Do this every other row (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc). At the second horizontal row, draw a vertical line at half an inch or the first block of the grid then measure 1 inch (2.5 cm) interval or 2 blocks of the grid then add another vertical line/s until you reach the end. Do this at every other row (2nd, 4th, 6th etc..)
