EXPLANATORY NOTE
One of the program thrust of the Barangay San Vicente is to keep stable the peace and order condition of the
barangay. Fostering habitually being a peacemaker, friendly citizen of the community. There has been harmonious
among relation among the people in peaceful community, absence of incidence, disturbance, noise to sleep of the
individual. In order to have positive effect and community participation from the residents, hence this ordinance.
BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO. 02
SERIES OF 2013
AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A CURFEW HOUR TO MINORS/ANY INDIVIDUAL PERSONS AND
TRANSIENT FROM 10:00 P.M. TO 4:00 A.M. WITHIN BARANGAY SAN VICENTE, STO NINO, SOUTH
COTABATO.
Be it enacted by the Sangguniang Barangay of San Vicente, Sto. Nino, South Cotabato in its 20 th regular session
assembled that:
Section I. Title – This ordinance shall known as “An Ordinance imposing a curfew hour to minors/any individual
persons and transient from 10:00 P.M. TO 4:00 A.M. within Barangay San Vicente, Sto. Nino, South Cotabato.
Section II. Definition of Terms –When used in this ordinance the following terms shall be interpreted and
understood as follows:
MINORS – a boy or girl aging 14 years or below.
CURFEW HOUR – off-limit number of hours not allowed to loiter, stay, remain outdoors, any road, and street of
the barangay.
TRANSIENT PERSON – passing soon.
COMMUNITY SERVICE – a person rendering work without pay.
Section III. Scope – This ordinance shall cover to minors, any individual persons and transient within the area of
responsibility of barangay San Vicente, Sto. Nino, South Cotabato.
Section IV. Penal Provisions – Violators of this ordinance shall be penalized as follows:
First Offense – a fine of 100.00 pesos with community service
Second Offense – a fine of 200.00 pesos with community services
Third Offense – a fine of 300.00 pesos with community services
For minors – shall be held for custody until the end of a curfew and or return to their parents upon apprehended.
Section V. Exemption – In cases of emergency within the family and minors accompanied by an elder, guardian or
parents, however proper coordination with the curfew enforcers shall be done.
Section VI. Repealing Clause – All resolutions and ordinances of the barangay inconsistent with the provisions in
two or more conspicuous places of this barangay.
Section V. Effectivity Clause – This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval and publication in two or more
conspicuous places of this barangay.
ENACTED during the 20th regular session of the Sangguniang Barangay of San Vicente, Sto. Nino, South Cotabato
on the 15th day of October, 2016 upon motion of the Hon. Melanie E. Dolor, unanimously seconded.
