Huawei wireless is a strong and solid product that has a lot of features - and for all that it offers, it happens to be very cost effective. As a wireless solution, it is simple and its user interface is user-friendly. Overall, I have found that Huawei has high performance, provides good coverage, and is reliable. In my experience, the scalability has been good as well, and whenever we have had issues, customer service or technical support has been extremely helpful. I will mention, though, that the initial installation took about six hours because we had to configure the controller, and although it was not difficult, it did involve a technical team of three engineers to set it up. There are some things that I feel could be improved. The manageability could be better, and I have also had some issues with bugs and instability. I would also hope that in the near future sometime, they would add network access control features.
In comparison to Huawei wireless, D-Link is competitive in price. In my research, I have found that it is easy to manage and also easy to install. Another advantage of D-Link is that it includes wireless, switching, and static wiring, which is important if your organization needs to implement with other OEMs, making it a complete solution. I felt that it had limited advanced features for distributing bandwidth. While I think D-Link is a good product and is affordable, I think it needs to get up to speed with other vendors and there is a lot of room for improvement. It is also important to know that the solution does not have hotspots.
