Words are the smallest group of meanings in a language. Words are a resource of language. Therefore, the study of words is important in language discussion. Deories are one of the most linguistic communities in Assam. Among the benefits of the Deori community, only the dibangiya group uses the Deori language. Apart from language, Assamese language is used for many purposes from daily work to government work. Due to various reasons, the exchange of Assamese language with Deori language has led to the transfer of linguistic elements. However, the Deori language has retained its uniqueness. This article provides a comparative study of the words used in Assamese and Deori languages. The words used in Assamese and Deori language in daily work and the analysis of the interrelationships of these words are also studied

The number of words a native speaker of a language knows is incredibly vast. However, this is not just word that represents mental lexicon. Words have properties to which in a very complex way they are associated. This paper reviews the related literature and different perspectives on what mental lexicon is, what is its organization, how words are related in the mental lexicon. It has also been discussed how second language mental lexicon is stored in the brain.

Recommender systems for TV program have been studied for the realization of personalized TV Electronic Program Guides. In this paper, we propose automatic emotion Arabic speech recognition in order to achieve an intelligent remote control. In addition, the TV can estimate our interests and preferences by observing our behavior to watch and have a conversation on topics that might be interesting to us.

In 1906 Axel Thue (34) started the systematic study of structures in words. Consequently, he studied basic objects of theoretical computer science long before the invention of the computer or DNA. In 1961 Paul Erdös (13) raised the question whether abelian squares can be avoided in infinitely long words. In 1992, we presented in (19), see also (20-23), an abelian square-free (a-2-free) endomorphism g85 on the four letter alphabet S4 = {a , b , c , d}. The size of g85 , i.e. |g85 (abcd)|, is equal to 4×85. Until now, all known methods for constructing arbitrarily long a-2-free words on S4 have been based on the structure of this g85 ; see Arturo Carpi (4-6). In this paper, we report of a completely new endomorphism g98 of S4* , the iteration of which produces an infinite abelian square-free word. أصدر أكاديمي كويتي كتابا بعنوان (تول كراميل مكياتو) متضمنا 43 موضوعا لغويا مختلفا يشرح من خلاله استخدام الكلمة وتأثيرها على حياتنا العملية والعلمية.

وقال المؤلف استاذ اللغة الانجليزية في جامعة الكويت يوسف البدر لوكالة الانباء الكويتية (كونا) اليوم "خصصت لكل كلمة صفحة كاملة تطرقت فيها الى مواقف غريبة وطريفة حصلت لي أثناء دراستي في المملكة المتحدة" مشيرا الى ان الكتاب يحتوي على 43 كلمة انجليزية مشروحة باللغة العربية بشكل مبسط مع ذكر المواقف الخاصة بها.

واضاف ان مواضيع الكتاب تتناول استخدام الكلمة "وتأثيرها على حياتنا العملية والعلمية" مبينا ان عنوان الكتاب (تول كراميل ماكياتو) هو عبارة عن اسم مركب لمشروب بات مشهورا في بعض المقاهي ولكن استخدام اللغة فيه مختلف أي ان كلمة (تول) بالانجليزية تعني (طويل) ولكن تستخدم في هذا المقهى كرمز لكوب صغير.

وعن تأثر الكويت باللغات الاجنبية قال البدر "ان المحادثة الكويتية تسمى لهجة وليست لغة كونها ملفوظة وليست مكتوبة" مضيفا "ان اللغة الانجليزية المستخدمة في الكويت هي لغتنا الأجنبية وليست لغتنا الثانية كون الانجليزية اللغة المشتركة بين شعوب العالم لبساطتها وسهولة قواعدها النحوية".
واوضح "ان التأثير الأجنبي وخصوصا البريطاني واضح لدينا سواء في لغتنا او بعض عاداتنا حتى في النواحي الاقتصادية".
وعن اللهجة الكويتية قال ان "الكويتيين اعتادوا على نطق واستخدام أصوات وحروف غير موجودة في الأبجدية العربية كلفظ فولفو (نوع سيارة) فمخارج هذه الحروف عند الكويتيين يسيرة ولكنها تعتبر حروفا دخيلة علينا بسبب كثافة استخدامنا للغة الانجليزية بشكل يومي مما أدى الى كثرة المفردات الدخيلة والمقترضة من اللغات الأخرى".

واضاف ان "بعض الكلمات الكويتية المستخدمة حاليا هي انجليزية معربة تنطق بشكل مختلف أو انجليزية بأحرف عربية تنطق كما هي مثل (بنك) و(تاكسي) و(ستلايت) و(كاش) وغيرها العديد من المفردات.

وبين ان اللهجة الكويتية تعتبر سلسة ومرنة على خلاف باقي اللهجات "والدليل انني قابلت بعض الاشخاص من السودان والمغرب وغيرهما من الدول العربية وجميعهم قادرون على لفظ بعض المصطلحات والجمل الكويتية والسبب الوحيد حسب قولهم هو انتشار المسلسلات الكويتية في قنواتهم الفضائية".

يذكر ان (تول كراميل ماكياتو) هو الكتاب الثاني ليوسف البدر بعد كتابه الاول (جذور الكلمات) الذي يتناول فيه الكشف عن أصول بعض كلمات اللغة الانجليزية والبحث في جذور تلك الكلمات.

This is a paper in applied philosophy of language. It has both semantic and deontic concerns. More than about the meaning of ‘marriage,’ it is about how one goes about determining the meaning of ‘marriage’. Designers see culture as a starting point for designing meaningful products that appeal to users. Culture has a dynamic structure that is constantly affected by social changes. This research examines how socio-cultural factors are perceived, analysed and transferred by design students. The design process is aimed to identify the complex or challenging and on the contrary clearly understandable aspects. In the first stage of the research, the ideas of the established cultural images, culturally influential designs and designers who use culture as a starting point were determined through 24 industrial design students. The ideas of the students were asked about design and identity in a particular geographic area, they were also asked to explain their ideas about traditional forms and draw forms of them by sketches. "The Words", as its name suggests, interweaves with the fictionalized account of Jean-Paul Sartre's childhood the story of his discovery of reading and writing—while keeping a veil over certain things, of course, since he doesn't set out to "confess" everything (no doubt he doesn't know everything). He tells us about himself with the touching self mockery of the Great Writer, with the clear-sightedness and intelligence of the thinker pretending to analyze himself in front of his readers. Even if the philosopher seems to tell all without beating about the bush, his point of view is still that of the observer amused by his character: a little Oedipus overflowing with narcissism, the fruit of a twisted family tree, but who is destined to become Sartre all the same!

In this paper, we have tried to evoke the propaganda episode in the First and the Second World Wars (WWI and WWII). It is a small part of our study including only research about images, characters, messages and words (title and text) used to create a mobilising movement of the people during these wars. The purpose was to select elements from the advertisements and pictorial posters and to comment upon the impact of the graphic messages included. During our work, we have identified many interesting things which had the target to mobilise one person against another using graphics and words with a strong patriotic message. This paper presents the interpretation for only a few posters and advertisements (about 48), but relevant for war propaganda.

On the basis of my analysis of the affidavits filed by Professor Susan Ehrlich and Professor Robert Stainton in Egale v. Canada and in Halpern v. Canada in the matter of same sex couples seeking to marry, it is my opinion that Professor Stainton's criticisms of Professor Ehrlich are based on faulty reasoning: his arguments are either question-begging, irrelevant or based on a significant misstatement of Professor Ehrlich's position. 

In his affidavit filed in response to Professor Ehrlich's affidavit, Professor Stainton rejects her position, concluding that extending the definition of 'marriage' to include lesbian and gay couples would have to alter the very meaning of the term, which "is in conflict with the normal use and development of language."  (para. 64)  In this affidavit, I review each of Professor Stainton's arguments and demonstrate why, in my professional opinion, his analysis cannot be supported.

A series of visual poems using the language deployed by the government during the Covid19 crisis.

- Each poem comprises the 19 words most used during the opening statements at each of the Downing Street press briefings.

- The poems correlate to the initial lockdown period in England (23rd March – 10th May 2020).

- The size of each word is proportional to its usage in each statement.

Children ( N = 160), aged 3 to 4 years, generated stories describing the causes of six different emotions: happiness, surprise, fear, anger, disgust, and sadness. The emotion was specified to the child either by a word (such as scared or disgusted) or by a photograph of a facial expression said to be a universal, biologically based signal for that emotion. For no emotion did the face produce significantly better performance than did the word. For fear and disgust, the word produced significantly better performance than did the face.

Defining clitics has been attempted in the literature. Similarities between clitics, affixes, and words have been pointed out. Kari concluded that clitics are not affixes.
The question then is if Degema clitics are not affixes, are they words?  This paper attempts to distinguish between clitics and words through their similarities and differences. In showing their differences, some criteria that have been discussed in the literature, especially those discussed in Zwicky (1985) will be highlighted.

En Mexico, el fracaso escolar y el analfabetismo funcional son problemas irresueltos del Sistema Educativo Nacional. Leer criticamente y escribir correctamente es indispensable para quienes logran ingresar al nivel superior. En este articulo abordamos aspectos cognitivos y sociales imbricados en la adquisicion y desarrollo de la lectoescritura, a partir de una evaluacion diagnostica aplicada a mas del 50% de estudiantes de primer ingreso en la Unidad Xochimilco de la Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, en 2012. Los resultados puntualizan aspectos que configuran, tanto en la comprension lectora como en la expresion escrita, el bajo nivel de competencias despues de 13 anos de escolaridad. 8 de enero de 2020 Acabamos de estrenar un nuevo año y, con él, un nuevo gobierno. Todos los cambios suponen un nuevo escenario, un nuevo marco de interrelaciones que nos condicionan, nos posibilitan, nos menguan o nos someten. Un marco nos dice lo que somos porque no somos la otra cosa o porque nos parecemos a ella; nos sitúa en un adentro o afuera; habitamos en un marco y en muchos marcos al mismo tiempo; sucedemos en una socialidad cuya función principal es establecer las pautas convenientes para la lectura e interpretación de lo ocurrido. Un marco es, pues, una forma que nos sugiere cómo organizarnos. Por su parte, lo más interesante de las comidas y cenas navideñas, además de los turrones, es la puesta en común de distintos marcos, de distintos aparatos estéticos que suponen una tensión natural a la hora de tratar de equilibrarlos para evitar cierta indigestión. Existen miradas y mirones, palabras y palabrotas, comentarios y comentaristas: toda una fauna y flora digna de un cuadro de El Bosco. Las discusiones o debates, más o menos acalorados, son un intento por conseguir la cuadratura del círculo, marcos de distinta índole que cuesta combinar. No obstante, esto no debería invitarnos a dejar de intentarlo; en los roces y las fronteras se encuentra la autenticidad de la convivencia. Volviendo a nuestro propósito inicial, sabemos que hay marcos de muchos tipos: de madera, con pan de oro, arquitectónicos, intercambiables, metafóricos, hípsters, geográficos, teóricos, económicos, sexuales y sexuados, de color rojo, metodológicos, saludables, temporales, fachas o, para mí los más atractivos, sintácticos y semánticos. El lenguaje es una premisa inherente al ser humano pero, curiosamente, es lo que más conflictos y guerras ha provocado. Las palabras y su propia resonancia, su proyección en un imaginario tanto colectivo como individual, son la punta de lanza con la que enfrentarnos a los otros pero. De hecho, una imagen puede resultar inocente hasta que dos personas intercambian palabras sobre ella. Una paradoja más que añadir a la lista. Las palabras son, parafraseando a Nicolas Bourriaud en Estética Relacional (Adriana Hidalgo Editora) los modos de intercambio social, lo interactivo a través de la experiencia estética propuesta […] y el proceso de comunicación, en su dimensión concreta de herramienta que permite unir individuos y grupos humanos. Sin embargo, como sucede en el arte, un marco no es más que una mera ficción.
