Nowadays, many developing countries have become aging societies that are effective for dwelling preparation in the future, especially Thailand. Thailand has entered an aging society and becomes a "Super-aged society" (Society or country with population aged 65 and over, more than 20% of the entire population) soon. These have increased the elderly housing projects of both the private and government sector, and most of the high-cost elderly housing projects in Thailand are related to incremental payback opportunities following the business investment plan [2]. The elderly housing projects for the low-cost project of the Thailand government are still not enough to demand because of an interruption in the government process for the new project. The renovation of the existing building for low cost was a simple way to solve the inequality problem of housing in an aging society. Nowadays, Thailand government still has a low-cost housing project which is Baan Eua Arthorn condominium that can be renovating existing building for the elderly. The case study research is Baan Eua Arthorn condominium project spreading all over the country with the same pattern design that can emphasize design renovation guidelines for generalized the low-cost elderly dwelling. This research focuses on the 5-story Baan Eua Arthorn condominium project that has two problems. The first problem is that a public area cannot support emergency assessment in a vertical assistance system. The second problem in the unit resident in the bathroom does not have assistive devices for the elderly and an available area for the elderly caregiver. This study found two solutions. First, equipping a public elevator with four install options can connect to the cluster building. Second, designing area of the resident unit and adding assistive devices of the elderly and for the elderly caregivers can encourage life quality of the elderly.

La tasca de sintetitzar en poques pàgines una anàlisi de la situació i tendències de l'estructura social valenciana a principis del segle xxi no és precisament fàcil. La comesa es fa més complexa, encara, en escriure en un moment concret de la història marcat per una crisi generalitzada del sistema social. La crisi econòmica esclatà en el sistema financer, però ha arrossegat situacions crítiques en altres àmbits de la vida social: formació, ocupació, oci, salut, etc. No és un moment, per tant, d'estabilitat d'allò que volem observar: tot el contrari, el nostre objecte d'observació és mou, i a més ràpidament, amb la qual cosa la seua visibilitat es dificulta. Tractem en aquest paper d'assenyalar quins són els aspectes socials més rellevants en els canvis més recents.

DESCRIPTION El objetivo de este artículo es el análisis de la evolución reciente (período 2000–2011) de la fecundidad y de sus diferencias territoriales dentro de Cataluña, utilizando como argumentos interpretativos la fecundidad diferencial según la nacionalidad y el impacto de las migraciones internas. Con este objetivo, se han calculado indicadores de intensidad y calendario de la fecundidad para 125 unidades geográficas: los 121 municipios catalanes de más de diez mil habitantes, más los cuatro restos provinciales. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que las diferencias de fecundidad en el ámbito municipal no responden al peso de la población extranjera en cada municipio ni a las diferencias de fecundidad de esta con las españolas. En cambio, la migración interna de parejas jóvenes en edad reproductiva, más la presencia de mujeres africanas, más fecundas, es lo que marca las pautas espaciales de fecundidad. History of the only State funded Elementary School established by a British Co-operative Society in the 1870s.  The episode is highly contextualised in the legacies of Owenite social philosophy in the post-1844 Co-operative Movement, the immediate environment of an expanding industrial town on Tyneside, and the wider political and educational ambitions of the mid-C19 consumer co-operative societies.

Es fa un recorregut històric per tal de contextualitzar la realitat sociològica valenciana des del punt de vista de les publicacions acadèmiques i a continuació es situa el sorgiment de la revista arxius de sociologia, que posteriorment ha passat a anomenar-se arxius de ciències socials, en eixe context i s'analitza la investigació difosa en la revista al llarg de la seua història (1997-2010). La revista ha publicat 210 treballs distribuïts en 23 exemplars, en els quals han intervingut 232 autors de 60 institucions diferents. Encara que una part important dels treballs correspon al departament de sociologia i antropologia social de la universitat de valència, la revista ha donat cabuda a treballs d'altres facultats d'aquesta universitat així com també d'altres centres espanyols i estrangers. Els principals temes abordats en la revista, que habitualment prenen com a referent la realitat sociològica valenciana però sense perdre de vista l'àmbit nacional i internacional, han sigut: treball i ocupació, cultura popular, gènere, mitjans de comunicació, immigració, recursos humans i ciutat i territori.

En aquest article, s’hi presenten els resultats d’una recerca sobre migració qualificada a laCiutat de Mèxic centrada en un grup de dones expatriades espanyoles. Des d’una perspectiva de gènere, s’hi analitzen les reorientacions laborals i les estratègies de negociació dins les llars d’un grup de dones d’alta qualificació que «acompanyen» els seus marits (o parelles) en el procés migratori. Comparative study on the variables that influence in happiness in Sweden and Taiwan. The methodology follows a logistic regression. The results conclude that the most influential variables to life satisfaction in both countries are health, economic satisfaction and social capital (trust and freedom).

El text presenta el conjunt de fenòmens que han emergit a Internet en els últims anys i que es coneixen genèricament com a Web 2.0, dels quals els blocs es troben entre els més coneguts. A continuació s’analitza el paper d’aquests fenòmens com a creadors d’espai
públic i les conseqüències que això ha tingut en la presència pública
del català. Seguidament, es delimita el fenomen dels blocs, se’n descriuen algunes característiques i se n’observa el funcionament
en la blogosfera catalana. Finalment es repassen sumàriament
algunes expectatives que els blocs obren al treball tècnic.

L’intervento riguarda la dimensione politica dell’accesso alla casa. Tale dimensione politica si articola lungo varie sfaccettature fra loro correlate. Anzitutto ci sono le premesse ideologiche soggiacenti alle politiche abitative, con le radici politiche ben identificabili  cui può essere attribuita la scelta di favorire la proprietà della casa in Italia, con l’obiettivo altrettanto politico, fra gli altri, di contenere il conflitto sociale. Ci sono poi le conseguenze istituzionali di tali posizioni politiche, con lo scarso sviluppo dell’edilizia popolare se confrontato con quello di altri paesi; da cui discendono  anche  le  conseguenze  sociali,  con  lo sviluppo  storico  di  movimenti  per  il  diritto  alla  casa,  di  natura conflittuale, che va nella direzione opposta rispetto a quella auspicata dalla scelta politica originaria. Si tratta dunque di un tema complesso e intrinsecamente politico, che non può essere analizzato fermandosi alle chiavi di lettura che fanno perno sulla mera legalità, solo apparentemente oggettiva e neutrale.

The intention of the study is to understand how are the “Gemeinnütziger Wohnungsbau” typologies evolving in the city of Zurich in the last hundred years, considering that, in this time-frame, the city has been affected by changes in the economic, social, cultural and political life.

A small proportion of people claim to live and consume in ways they consider more sustainable in social and environmental terms. As yet, we do not know how many exactly, but possibly no more than 5‐10% of the population. The thesis intentionally focuses on this minority finding there are at least three reasons why it is interesting to do so. First because they are all but ignored in sociologies of practice in the context of sustainable consumption which considers this minority an insignificance and focuses almost exclusively on a ‘mainstream’ majority which more closely maps onto the stereotype of ‘consumer society’. Second because we think we can learn much from juxtapositioning this group empirically against the spectrum of theories of practice to devise more robust and appropriate theoretical explanation of how these subjects, in the context of everyday practice, negotiate the many interpretations and contradictions involved in trying to put ‘sustainability’ into practice. Third because by understanding them better we can reflect on theoretical, empirical and policy implications for nudging this minority of the population to a higher percentage.

The thesis sits at one end of a spectrum of positions in theories of practice applied to consumption, and in particular with a normative interest in sustainable consumption. It aligns with those who seek to re‐insert the reflexive agent into accounts of practice, with particular reference to the conceptual construct of the ‘citizen‐consumer’ and the context of political consumption (Spaargaren & Oosterveer 2010). Referring to theories of consumption, the thesis adds perspectives on how people negotiate multiple domains of consumption simultaneously since everyday practice involves interactions across multiple domains (such as eating, mobility, householding); and yet typically in theories of practice these are artificially separated into single domains. The study therefore considers the implications which domains have on how particular practices are carried out, first separately (per domain) and then as they come together (in a cross‐cutting domain perspective). The study then takes theories of practice as a springboard to develop a theoretical position and framework which better fits the narrated accounts of the 37 subjects who participated in this study. In iteratively co‐developing a theoretical framework and multiple ‘stages’ of empirical research (using grounded theory methodology) the study seeks to explain theoretically how subjects justify their ‘doings’ (drawing on ‘conventions’ and ‘orders of worth’ (Boltanski & Thévenot 2006)); how they appear to muddle through as best they can (introducing ‘bricolage’ (Lévi‐Strauss 1972)); and how subjects appear to devise decision short‐cuts when approaching decisions characterised by the multiple contradictions of sustainable consumption and incomplete or ‘too much’ information (introducing heuristics (Gigerenzer & Gaissmaier 2011)).

In joining calls to re‐insert the reflexive agent to account for how, when and why subjects enact changes towards trajectories which they consider ‘more sustainable’ in their own terms, the study takes inspiration from Margaret Archer’s morphogenesis approach (1998) and explores her model of multiple modes of reflexivity, announcing certain modes as ‘better fitting’ conditions of late modernity. The study finally finds that contrary to a notion of the un‐reflexive agent, the citizen‐consumer is able to articulate visions of the ‘good life’. In addition she is able to fold these visions back onto everyday practices performed in the past, present and future, laying out normative guidelines and positive accounts of how to achieve personal or societal well‐being and happiness. The overarching positioning of the study is much inspired by Andrew Sayer’s (2011; 2000) ‘normative turn’ calling upon social sciences to re‐instate research into the things about which people care. The study is therefore guided by the overarching question of how people translate their environmental and/or social concerns into the ways in which they live and consume.
