The  paper  describes  a  teaching  innovation  experience  consisting  in  the  use  of  Twitter  as  a  learning  tool.  The  students  are  registered  in  a  course  on  Spanish  tort  law,  where  they  basically  learn  the  structure  of  functioning  of  rules  of  compensation  for  accidents  caused  by  risky  activities.  Therefore,  it  is  essential  that  concepts  like  risk  are  studied  and  analysed,  since  the  presence  of  risk  usually  entails  that  a  special  rule  of  liability  is  applied.  The  students  are  expected  to  learn  what  instances  of  liability  based  on  risk  exist  at  the  present  time  under  Spanish  law.  However,  there  may  also  be  some  instances  where  liability  is  not  established  by  the  legislature  and,  in  spite  of  that,  one  could  consider  as  appropriate  that  liability  is  based  on  risk  as  well.  The  main  consequence  which  derives  from  this  basic  question  is  that  liability  may  be  imposed  on  the  liable  person  irrespective  of  whether  he  or  she  behaved  in  a  negligent  way.

La presente investigación analiza la práctica en el aula al utilizar la aplicación Minecraft Edu valorando las actitudes de la comunidad educativa a través de un cuestionario mixto (APMA) y comparando a través de inferencia estadística los resultados de varios grupos de alumnos de primaria. A pesar de que no se aprecian mejoras significativas y que los padres mantienen valoraciones negativas, cabe destacar que la mayoría de los sujetos considera que Minecraft Edu mejora la creatividad, desarrolla el descubrimiento, es divertido, aplica de un modo efectivo contenidos orientados a edificios históricos y aporta ventajas de interacción vinculadas a los microblogs.
This research analyzes the practice in the classroom in order to use the application Minecraft Edu, valuing the educational community attitudes via a mixed questionnaire and comparing statistical inference through the results of several groups of elementary students. Although there are not significant improvements and parents hold negative evaluations, it is noteworthy that the majority of the sample considered that Minecraft Edu enhances creativity, it develops discovery, it is fun, it applies effectively content oriented in historical buildings and it brings the benefits of interaction related to microblogs.

Non-media affiliated sports blogs represent the largest contingent of sports blogs today, yet bloggers continue to face accessibility problems when it comes to coverage. Most professional sports teams employ media relations personnel who serve as gatekeepers, deciding who receives access and who does not. Such choices are often based on the abstract concept of trust, which this study focused on. The survey results from 126 professional baseball gatekeepers reinforce the fact that accessibility is most likely to restricted for bloggers, especially those not connected with a media outlet. However, this study sought to determine the differences, if any, between the levels of trust gatekeepers place in traditional news media and bloggers as well as how such disparities might impact accessibility.

El presente artículo describe una investigación realizada sobre la plataforma Edmodo. El estudio se lleva a cabo en el curso 2011 2012 en un centro de educación de adultos. Es por tanto un estudio de caso que analiza las valoraciones que 52 estudiantes proporcionan en un cuestionario mixto y los mensajes que enviaron a la plataforma. ABSTRACT Applying natural language processing for mining and intelligent information access to tweets (a form of microblog) is a challenging, emerging research area. Unlike carefully authored news text and other longer content, tweets pose a number of new challenges, due to their short, noisy, context-dependent, and dynamic nature. Information extraction from tweets is typically performed in a pipeline, comprising consecutive stages of language identification, tokenisation, part-of-speech tagging, named entity recognition and entity disambiguation (e.g. with respect to DBpedia). In this work, we describe a new Twitter entity disambiguation dataset, and conduct an empirical analysis of named entity recognition and disambiguation, investigating how robust a number of state-of-the-art systems are on such noisy texts, what the main sources of error are, and which problems should be further investigated to improve the state of the art.
